Tree Lights

Today, Bowyn and I decided to put up the Christmas Tree, or at least start the process anyways.  Everyone knows what a chore it is to drag all your stuff out and go through it.  It takes a lot of time, patience and days to get everything just the way you like it (that's if your as OCD as I am that is...).  It's all well and good and so absolutely beautiful when it's all done.  I just love it.

BUT, what I do hate are LIGHTS that don't work.  Can you tell I'm angry about this?  You know how hard it is to find just one bulb out of a whole strand that's out?  Almost impossible.  And what's the point of all those stupid extras they give you if you can't find it?  Here's and sxample:  Bowyn put up his little tree and decorated in all by himself, it is so cute he did such a great job, but guess what?  That's right the stupid lights aren't working.  I sat there on the floor for a good 1/2 hr. trying to find the culprit, and never could.  I was ready to drop kick it out the door (Hot flash approaching...).  I'll get back to it later.

Well last year we purchased 2 pre-lit tree's in planters just for the beautiful ambiance they posses, and don't you know one is out now.  Ugh, I feel like Charlie Brown, nothing is going right.

Can't they make life time lights, like the forever stamp?

So I decided to tackle the Big tree lights later after I've calmed down (just so you know, we do check them before we put them on the tree, but even that doesn't work sometimes).  Just a Pre-warning though, if you read in the paper that some woman in Northern Kentucky lost her mind over Tree Lights, you'll know who it is.

PS) Have a nice day.

I love to get (Good) mail

Yesterday, I received a package from my niece Nina, which were cards that I had purchased off of her new store located at www.esty.com.  I was as giddy as a school girl, the excitement was so overwhelming.  I carefully opened the package as not to tear anything, and WOW they were as beautiful in my hand as they were on the site.  She does a fabulous job.  It's such a blessing to be so talented, I'm just happy that she's finally selling them.

I'm such a kook when it comes to cards, just ask anyone that knows me.  Check out the site, it's great and there are lots of vendors that sell their stuff on there too.

Halloween and Weddings

As you know, Sunday was Halloween, but it was also my nephew Jay's wedding.  He married a beautiful girl named Carly in what was set-up as a Haunted Wedding surrounding.  It was so amazing the way they had it all set up.  Totally unique.  I must say, I didn't know what to expect, but it turned out to be an absolutely wonderful event.  The air was chilly, but the homemade Vegetable soup, which was placed in carved out pumpkins, totally took the chill away, along with cups of coffee and hot chocolate.  To top it off the ceremony was so lovely and intimate, with the Bride and Groom, down by the rivers edge with Carly's mother Pam presiding over the nuptials, with an awesome sunset through the trees, splashing across the field behind them.  All this while friends and families huddled by a warm fire to lend witness the event.

It was perfect and I wish them all the happiness in the world.
