Scales

I have a theory, that if your trying to loose weight, stay off the scales, and just guesstimate your weight loss.  Save yourself the shocking depression you'll be in when you step on it and it hasn't moved, even though your pants are getting looser.  I think I moved that damn thing to every possible flat surface that I could find, and still no change.  Oh, maybe it's broken, hmmmm.  And so you know, I'm up to 3.5 minutes on the STEP 600 now.  It's all just baby steps you know. Ha!

PayOff's

Here's how the day is going so far.  Yesterday, we paid off a credit card, and today I called Roto Rooter.  Need I say more?

Excercise update

Since I'm trying out a new "Resolution" to get fit and all, yesterday I decided to try out my own dietary plan known as "Suz~DeTox Solution".  Here it is in the nut shell; I will only eat 3 bowls of High Fiber Cereal along with loads of water to flush out all the impurities (I'm very hopeful this will happen, if you know what I mean).  NO wine!  So, okay yesterday went fine.  I didn't get really hungry until about 10:00 PM, so I caved in for 1/2 of a green Banana (YUCK!), but it did the trick.  And today is going good so far.  I've had coffee, and tea (both made with water), and of course water, NO wine!  Now, do I see this as a long term way of eating, H*&$  NO!  NO Wine!  But the first 3 days of a diet are always the worst, so I'm taking it one day at a time here.  So maybe after a week, I will switch over to calorie counting (1200 Cal. per day), and see how that goes.  Oh yes, I also did some exercises too, which consisted of snow shoveling; carried in 3 arm fulls of firewood  (which I had to trudge through the snow to get to); then managed 1.5 minutes on the Step 600 machine.  Boy do I feel...(like crap).

In theory this all sounds good, but why can't I just live my life the way I want to and be Happy doing it (Yes,Wine!)?

Resolutions - continued...

Ok already, so I've decided to make a resolution to loose some weight.  For example, we have one of those awesome "Step 600" steppers, that we got free from a neighbor who was having a garage sale (they must have seen me and felt sorry for Ric, so gave it to him for free in hopes I'd get motivated and do something with it...).  Guess what, I did something with it!  I moved it from the utility room to our kind-of living room, by the fire place to boot.  Boy that took alot out of me too.

The way I see it, with the fire place going, and me on that thing, I will be able to burn off some BIG calories, if not burn myself up at the same time.  I'll go test it out right now and let you know how it goes.

Testing: 1 2 3...

OMG, I just did 2:00 minutes.  Huff, huff, huff.  Buns of steel baby.   I can feel the burn already.  Huff, huff, now I need a nap.

I'll keep you posted on my progress (if any).

Too many boxes

This year at Christmas, we only started out with just 2 extra boxes being added to our already very extensive Christmas stuff collection.  Which by the way fit perfectly under the steps.  The boxes we added were, another tree (not too big), and a storage tub approx. 12x12x12. both of which should and could also fit (with alittle tweaking).  Here's the problem, we ended up with 4 extra boxes, instead of the 2 new that we started out with, which means, they do not fit under the steps with all the other Christmas stuff and that things did not get packed correctly, so next Christmas will be confusing as H*^$.  Argh!

At least we have a year until then.

Happy New Year

Okay, I know that this is only 11 days old, but better late than never, right.  By the way, for all those out there that did a New Years Resolution, you have until the 17th to opt out of it.  That's right, it's "Resolution - Take Back Day".  Hmm, maybe I'll actually start a resolution on that day, as I am still on the fence as to what to give up or start up.   Whatever...

Here's wishing you All a very Happy New Year for 2011
